The BAS degree program combines AAS credits with Mason’s Mason Core courses and a concentration that prepares graduates for workforce advancement. BAS students must fulfill Mason’s university Mason Core requirements, along with the requirements for their chosen concentration. These requirements must be met along with completion of Mason’s required amount of upper-level coursework (45 credit hours).

Each concentration contains courses which will build upon the students’ prior learning, educational, and in some cases, work experience. The BAS programs’ overall goal is to enhance the student’s critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as provide opportunities for professional potential, and increased earning power.
