Cyber Security

Why This Degree?

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that cybersecurity roles will grow over 30 percent in the next decade. In the U.S. alone, the cybersecurity workforce has more than 950,000 workers — with around 465,000 of them yet to be filled, according to CyberSeek, a project supported by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), a program of the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the U.S. Department of Commerce.

If you have an AAS in Cyber Security from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), Laurel Ridge Community College, or Tidewater Community College (TCC), this degree is for you.

We’ll build on the skills you gained in your AAS degree to help you complete a Bachelor’s degree and start a cyber security career with the requisite skills designed to hit-the-ground-running.

NEW: George Mason University was ranked as one of the top 25 Best Online Cybersecurity Degree Programs of 2024 according to Cybersecurity Guide.
